about

I currently reside in Cincinnati, Ohio, with my husband and two sons. Over the past decade,  I have helped to build and improve Queen City Clay - a ceramic studio and store that is dedicated to clay education in the Cincinnati area.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from Ohio University, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design, where I specialized in ceramic sculpture. After completing my graduate studies, my husband and I returned to Cincinnati to be closer to our families. It was during this period that I discovered Queen City Clay and began teaching, as well as contributing to the management of the business.

After an extensive period devoted to sculpture in academia, my studio practice shifted to pottery as life changed and evolved. I gradually started incorporating more sculptural and hand-built elements into my pottery forms. While my focus has primarily been on pottery, I still pursue my passion for sculpture whenever possible.
